Vern Ward and Pauline Montgomery who forced entry into a
residence in Burney, CA. and held the victim at knife point
then demanded property. During the robbery a knife was held
to the victim’s throat. The victim was assaulted and lost
consciousness. Ward is considered armed and dangerous. Crime
occurred on March 7, 2010 at 0100 hours.

for the crime of Kidnapping, Rape, and Spousal Assault. The
crime occurred at 10:04am on October 31, 2009 at the 99 Cent
Store parking lot at 2611 Hilltop Dr., Redding.

Redding Police Department’s Most Wanted page.
On
11/30/09 suspect Jose Mendoza returned to his estranged
wife’s residence in the afternoon and shot her boyfriend
twice in the head. He then fled the scene in a grey or blue
compact car. He may also be driving a red 4x4 Toyota
extended cab pick-up.

Type of Crime: Attempted Robbery
Up to $1,500.00 for information leading to the arrest and
conviction of the person(s) responsible for the attempted
robbery at Redding Bank of Commerce, 1177 Placer St,
Redding. On 9/8/09 at approximately 3:00 pm two Domino’s
Pizza employees went to the bank to drop off a deposit.
When they arrived they were confronted by a male subject
with a knife. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a
mask. The suspect demanded the money but the pizza
employees were able to secure the money and the suspect fled
on foot. The pizza employees noticed a second subject with
the masked man. He was described as male, wearing dark

Up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and
conviction of the person(s) responsible for igniting a fire
at 22310 Lone Tree Rd., Cottonwood. The fire completely
burned a historic building which once was an old school
house but since converted to a church. The building was
also used by the Future Farmers of America (FFA) to host
meetings. The historic value is unquestioned and a loss
this community will never be regained. Crime occurred on

Type of Crime: Kidnapping
Up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and
conviction of the person that tried to kidnap a 2 year old
baby girl in a stroller between 7:30 and 8:30pm on
07/04/2009 at the Freedom Festival at Redding Convention
Center. The suspect abandoned the stroller with the baby
still inside by a row of porta-potties when all the
commotion caused by witnesses, firemen, and police officers
spread out to locate the 2 yr old. Suspect fled on foot
towards the sundial bridge.
Suspect is described as: white male adult in his 40s with
brown and grey feathered hair, 6’ tall about 200 lbs, clean
shave, and wearing yellow tank top, brown short, and black

conviction of the suspect who robbed the Palo Cedro Pharmacy
with a handgun. Crime occurred 2/5/09 at approximately 6pm.
The suspect was described as a white male, 5’11” to 6’ tall,
with a slender build, wearing a green fatigue hooded jacket

conviction of the suspect that robbed the Time To Stop Mini
Mart at 5425 Mountain View Dr., Redding. Suspect entered
the business brandishing a handgun, demanded money from the
clerk at gunpoint. The clerk complied and the suspect fled
out the front doors. Suspect was wearing a dark colored
hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Suspect’s face was
partially covered with a bandana or similar type cloth.
Suspect was possibly seen leaving the scene in a tan colored
