14-09A Type of Crime: Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Up to: $5,000.00 For information regarding the assault that occurred on 4/1/2014 at 1:15 PM at the location of I-5 and Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA. The victim (passenger) and her husband (driver) were stopped on the northbound offramp from I-5 at E Cypress when the driver of an early 2000’s green Nissan Xterra SUV exited his vehicle and threw an object at their car. The Nissan driver then tailgated the victim’s vehicle westbound on E Cypress through the Bechelli Lane intersection before both vehicles turned north either onto Rosemary Ave or Hemsted Dr. Both vehicles made u-turns and went southbound back to the intersection with E Cypress Ave.
As the victim’s car prepared to turn eastbound, the driver of the Nissan pulled to the right of the victim. There the driver threw a travel coffee mug at the victim’s car which ultimately struck the victim in the face causing significant injuries. The victim was rushed to a local hospital were she remains in critical condition. The driver of the Nissan is described as a white male in his mid 20’s, with collar length brown hair.

14-08A Type of Crime: Robbery

Up to: $5,000.00 For information regarding: that on 3/15/2014 at 8:30 PM at 833 Mistletoe Lane, Redding, CA the victim was working late at his business office when he heard knocking at his door. He answered the door and was immediately overpowered by two white males. The first male is described as being in his 20’s with an “Abraham Lincoln” style beard (as it was only along his jaw line), wearing a white t-shirt, tall and thin. The second suspect is described as heavier, wearing blue jeans. The two suspects tied the victim’s hands and took electronic items from his office, The suspects also took his vehicle, a silver 2011 Toyota Sienna van bearing California license, 6NSW136. If the van is observed please call 911 immediately and provide operator with your reason for calling. Location and direction of travel, (if any). DO NOT attempt to approach the driver or passenger(s) as they are considered dangerous.

14-07A Type of Crime: Robbery

Up to: $1,000.00 For information regarding: that on 2/16/2014 at 3:10 PM in the parking lot in front of Target on Churn Creek Rd, Redding, CA as the victim walked towards the Target store’s entrance, the suspect walked behind her and grabbed the victim’s purse from her shoulder. They struggled for the purse for a few seconds before the suspect was able to pull it away and run westbound. The suspect was last seen entering a white 2 door coupe (possibly a Mitsubishi) and driving off southbound on Churn Creek Road. Two white females were also seen as passengers in the car. The suspect is described as a white male adult who walked with a noticeable limp, approximately 5’10”, slender build, wearing a light colored shirt, a light colored beanie and dark pants.

14-06A Type of Crime: Burglary

Up to: $250.00 For information regarding: that on 1/8/2014 at 1:00 AM at the location of 1072 Lake Blvd., Suite A, Redding, CA an unknown suspect forced entry into Poppies Pizza. The suspect caused damage to the business and stole cash from a lockbox. The suspect may live in the surrounding area. He is approximately 45 to 55 years of age, approximately 5’7” and weighing 150 pounds.

Type of Crime: Robbery

Up to: $1,000.00 For information regarding: that on 2/18/2014 at approximately 10:10 PM at the Safeway gas station on E. Cypress and Churn Creek. The victim was working inside the convenience store associated with the Safeway store’s gas station, the suspect entered and demanded “all the cash out of the drawer”. The suspect was brandishing a knife and had on a blue beanie cap pulled over his eyes with holes cut out. To avoid being stabbed, the victim handed the suspect the cash from the drawer and the suspect fled northbound from the store. The suspect is described as a white male adult, 5”10” to 6’ tall, slender build, wearing a black puffy jacket and dark grey jeans.

Type of Crime: Incendiary Act

Up to: $5,000.00 For information regarding: The identities of Person(s) responsible for the arson fire that occurred at Water Works Park, 151 North Boulder Dr, Redding, CA at 1:30 AM on 01-28-2014. The incident has resulted in an estimated $500,000 of damage to the “Dragon” water slide and is the second arson related incident within the park.

Type of Crime: Burglary

Up to: $1,500.00 For information regarding: On October 3, 2013, between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM at 20929 Lakeshore Drive, Lakehead, CA, unknown suspect(s) burglarized the victims Superior Boat and RV Storage unit. Multiple firearms were stolen when unknown suspect(s) broke into the victims unit by crawling over an interior wall from another storage unit.

14-01A Type of Crime: Armed Robbery

Up to: $2,000.00 For information regarding: On 1/4/2014, at approximately 5:30 PM a male entered the Metro PCS store on 4480 Westside Road, Redding, CA and immediately demanded that the employee give him all the money in the store. The suspect then walked around the counter and removed a black revolver from his clothing and pointed it directly at the clerk, again ordering her to give him the money. After obtaining the cash, the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction. The suspect is described only as a white male, 5’8” with a heavy build and wearing a tan canvas coat and a ski mask.

13-40A Type of Crime: Attempted Robbery

Up to: $2,000.00 For information regarding: On 10/28/2013, at approximately 2:37 AM in the south parking lot of Marriott Suites on Larkspur Lane. As the victim was exiting her vehicle, she was confronted by two black males one of whom demanded “give me your purse”. The victim told the suspect she didn’t have anything valuable in her purse and immediately after making this statement was grabbed by the second suspect by the back of her hair. As the victim tried to retain her purse and fend off the attacker grabbing her hair, she was punched in the face by the other suspect. After striking the victim, both suspects ran off without the purse in an unknown direction. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, approx 25 yrs old, slender to average build, approx 5”9” tall, wearing a green zip up jacket, with a white collar and a white stripe on each arm, a dark knit hat and black baggy pants. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, approx 25 yrs old, slender to average build, 5’9” tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black shoes and a black knit beanie cap.

Type of Crime: Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Up to: $2,000.00 For information regarding: On 10/19/2013, at approximately 12:30 AM at Pine Street just south of Heavenly Donuts, Redding, CA. As the victim was inside Heavenly Donuts, two males began to verbally assault and badger him. To avoid any confrontation, the victim left Heavenly Donuts and walked southbound on Pine Street. Both suspects followed after him and struck him in the head an unknown number of times with large rocks. The attack caused life threatening injuries. Both suspects then ran off in an unknown direction. Suspect #1 is described as a white male, approximately 30 yrs old, average build, wearing a dark hat with a stripe, a dark colored jacket and white shirt. Suspect #2 is described as a white male, approximately 30 yrs old, wearing dark clothing.

13-37A Type of Crime: Burglary

Up to: $1,000.00 For information regarding: On or about October 4, 2013, at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, at the Whiskeytown Fire Use Module Office and Station at Whiskeytown Lake $50,000.00 in property was taken. Several thousand dollars of chainsaws, tools and firefighting equipment was taken in addition to a marked Fire pickup truck. The truck has been recovered.

13-36A Type of Crime: Murder

Up to: $10,000.00 For information regarding: On Saturday, 11/2/2013, at 7:30 PM Bradley Weber Sr. was involved in an argument with his son Bradley Weber Jr. (B.J.) at 6323 Marsha Farms Rd. Weber Jr’s girlfriend Misty Darden left on foot to avoid the argument and a few minutes later witnessed Weber Jr, ride past her on an ATV stating “He shot me.” Weber Jr. was transported to Mercy Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased from a single gunshot wound. Weber Sr. may be traveling with Pamela Lynn Glasgow. A $1,000,000 arrest warrant has been issued for Bradley James Andrew Weber Sr.

Type of Crime: Burglary

Up to: $2,500.00 For information regarding:  On November 1, 2013, in the early morning hours of 3:00AM to 4:30 AM two subjects burglarized the California Department of Fish & Wildlife facility at 601 Locust Street, Redding, CA.  The subjects took five firearms and a dark blue 2001 Dodge Durango SUV.  A complete inventory list of missing items is pending.

Type of Crime: Robbery

Up to: $2,000.00 For information regarding: On 9/30/2013,  3:55 PM at the Comfort Inn, 850 Mistletoe Lane, Room 301, Redding, CA. The victims were inside their hotel room when they heard someone knocking at the door. The suspect stated he worked for the hotel and needed to check on something inside the room. The 81 year old male opened the door at which time the suspect forced his way in and demanded the victim’s wallet. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground before forcefully removing the victim’s wallet from his pocket. The suspect then pushed the 81 year old female to the ground causing injuries to her head and back. Both victim’s required medical attention as a result of the attack/robbery. The suspect is described as a black male adult, approximately 30 years old, 5’9”, 160 lbs, with very short hair wearing dark clothing.

13-31A Type of Crime: Attempted Sexual Assault

Up to: $2,500.00 For information regarding: On October 07 2013 between 12:45pm and 4:40pm, on the Sacramento River Trail near Court Street. In three separate incidents, an unknown white male juvenile between the ages of 13-17 attacked three different females. The suspect is described as being approximately 5’6”, 140 pounds with short brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing a plaid shirt under a grey hoodie type jacket, blue jeans and skater type shoes. The suspect grabbed the first victim’s buttocks before riding away on a chrome bike. Approximately two hours later, he grabbed a second victim from the front before fleeing on a similar bike. An hour later he attacked the third female by striking her in the head and knocking her unconscious. She awoke as he was trying to drag her into some bushes. He fled on foot up the Palatine Trail when she fought back.

13-27A Type of Crime: Robbery

Up to $1,000.00 For information regarding: On 7/25/2013 at 5:22 PM a woman was walking to her car, which was parked in the west parking lot of Redding City Hall, 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA, when she was pushed to the ground from behind by a suspect. The suspect subsequently took her purse after a brief struggle, running to a vehicle which was parked nearby. The vehicle, which is described as a black or dark gray colored four-door, box-shaped sedan was last seen heading eastbound on Cypress Avenue. The suspect is described as a white male adult, unknown age, possibly wearing a green shirt and blue shorts with a white belt.

Type of Crime: Vehicle Theft

Up to $2,000.00 For information regarding: On July 25, 2013, the theft of a large, trailer mounted commercial generator was discovered. The theft occurred at the Coleman Fish Hatchery, 24411 Coleman Fish Hatchery Rd., Anderson, CA. The generator belongs to I-5 Rentals of Redding, CA. Follow up information indicates that the generator was seen being towed north of Parkville Road and Millville Plains Road on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. The generator is mounted on a two axle flat trailer. The generator is housed in a sheet metal box which is painted white and black. At the time of the theft, the equipment was marked “I-5 Rentals”. The generator is valued at $70,000.

13-25A Type of Crime: Attempted Murder of a Police Officer

 Up to $2,500.00 For information regarding: On 7/24/2013 at 11:56 PM at Girvan & Hemlock streets in Redding, CA an Officer of the Redding Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a car for vehicle code violations. The passenger, James Arthur Staggs, 35 years of age, ran from the car and was chased. Staggs fired at the officer and continued to flee. Staggs was able to elude capture. Staggs was positively identified as the person who shot at the police officer. Staggs is on parole for prior charges and is considered a serious threat to the community. Staggs is considered armed and dangerous.

13-23A Type of Crime: Civil Rights Violation/ Property Damage  

Up to $1,000.00 For information  regarding: On 7/16/2013 at 10:45 PM at Bush Street in Keswick, CA, unknown suspect(s) cut the gas line to a 500 gallon propane tank.  The propane leak caused the area to be evacuated.  The victim’s vehicle was also vandalized and homosexual slurs were scratched into the paint.  The victim’s were targeted because of their sexual orientation.

Up to $5,000.00 For information regarding: On July 7, 1976, 15 year old Terri Lynn Ray was discovered murdered in Clear Creek near Highway 273. Investigators have reopened the case due to the advances in technology since the murder.

13-20A Type of Crime: Incendiary Act

Up to $1,500.00 For information regarding: On July 4, 2013 at 11:30 PM numerous witnesses describe hearing and seeing aerial fireworks that landed in and igniting vegetation that was located against the building located at 1212 South Street, Redding. At least three white males, possibly juveniles 12 – 16 years of age, were seen igniting the fireworks and running from the area immediately following the ignition of the fire.

13-19A Type of Crime: Home Invasion Robbery

Up to $500.00 For information regarding: On 7/4/2013 in the early morning hours, two male and a female suspects committed a home invasion robbery at a residence in Redding. The female suspect was identified and subsequently arrested the following morning. One of the male suspects was identified as Kolby Lee McElmurry, age 20, and is currently at large. The third suspect is yet to be identified. The Redding Police department is requesting assistance in locating McElmurry and identifying the 3rd suspect.

Type of Crime: Homicide

Up to $10,000.00 For information leading to the arrest and or conviction of: Shane Franklyn Miller, white male, red hair, blue eyes, 5’10”, 200 pounds. Miller is a suspect in a triple homicide of his wife and his two young daughters. The crime occurred May 7,2013 at 7:44pm at 28400 Alpine Way, Shingletown, CA,. Miller is considered armed and extremely dangerous. The public is encouraged not to approach Miller.

13-02A Type of Crime: Residential Burglary

Up to $2,500.00 For information leading to the arrest and or conviction of person(s) that on 11/24/2012, in the afternoon hours, burglarized the residence of a 73 year old victim. The victim left his residence on Rector Creek Road in Ono for a short time. While he was gone, unknown suspect(s) entered his residence and stole a safe containing cash in excess of $100,000.00.

Up to $8,700.00 For information leading to the where about’s of Cort Jones-Botta who was last seen on the 700 block of Joaquin, Redding on 08/16/2012 around 3pm where he phoned his mother for a ride home. When his mother arrived, Cort Jones-Botta was nowhere to be found. He has not been seen or heard from since that date.

UP TO $3,000.00 For information leading to the arrest and or conviction of the suspect(s) that: On 11/20/2012 at 10:44 PM the suspect attempted murder by stabbing Andrew Whitley in the neck. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hoodie. He fled the scene on foot. The crime occurred in front of the Rite-Aid on Cascade Blvd., in Shasta Lake City.

Up to $2,000.00 For information leading to the arrest and or conviction of the suspect(s) that: Sometime late August 2012, Broke into a garage and house off Evergreen Road in Cottonwood They took jewelry, guns, 2 TV’s. silver, power tools, safe and other  miscellaneous items. A black Buick was taken from the garage. The car was found abandoned. One shotgun was from Czechoslovakia Creek Rd.

12-28A Type of Crime: Missing Person

Up to $5,000.00 For information leading to the whereabouts’ of Heather Cameron. On 08-18-12 at 2:30 AM, Heather called 911 and requested law enforcement and medical assistance. Cameron was on foot in the Chappie-Shasta OHV area. Cameron claimed she was drugged and needed help. An extensive search was conducted for Cameron and she was not located. Cameron has not been seen or heard from since 8-18-12 and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are suspicious.

12-22A Type of Crime: Attempted Murder

For information leading to the arrest and or conviction of: At 7:41 PM on 09-04-2012 at Snoopy Rock, State Hwy 299, Ingot, CA two victims, on vacation, had pulled off Hwy 299 for the male half to use the restroom. Victim was confronted by a suspect riding a Harley Davidson-type motorcycle. The victim saw the suspect with a handgun and a struggle ensued. During this struggle, the victim was shot in his chest. The suspect then left on his motorcycle. Suspect described as; white male adult, 5’8” to 5”9” tall, thin build, blonde hair and wearing a black t-shirt. Suspect was not wearing a helmet. Only the male victim was shot and he was treated at local hospital for his wounds.

Up to $5,000.00  For information leading to the arrest and or conviction of suspect(s) that:  On August 21, 2012 on Old 44 Drive and Oak Run Road  about 4:41 PM set a series of 9 fires near the community of Millville.  These fires were intentionally set to cause damage to private property.

Up to $500.00 For information leading to the arrest and or conviction of unknown suspect that robbed Ferry's Pharmacy located at 2940 East Street in Anderson. On July 13, 2012,  the suspect entered the business with a bandana on his face and holding a handgun. Suspect took cash, Oxycodin and Methadone.

12-09A Type of Crime: Suspicious Death

Up to $5,000.00 For information leading to the arrest and or conviction of the subjects who may have been responsible for the death of Cody Templeton. On Sunday 05/27/2012 at 1:17 AM at Keswick Dam Road, east of Iron Mountain Road in Redding, CHP and SCSO responded to a subject lying in the roadway on Keswick Dam Road. The subject (later identified as Cody Templeton) was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding Templeton's death are suspicious.

10-21A Type of Crime: Felony Hit & Run

Up to $10,000.00 For information leading to the arrest of the person(s) that struck Jon W. Muncy, 53 as he was riding his bicycle southbound on Riverland Drive near Riverland Mobile Home Park. Muncy was struck from the rear. The unknown vehicle fled the scene apparently without stopping. Muncy was critically injured and later died from his injuries. The crime occurred 11-22-2010 at 6:30 PM.

Type of Crime: Kidnapping / Rape / Attempted Murder

Up to $5,000.00 $10,000.00 For information leading to the arrest and conviction of Jose Felipe Mendoza for the crime of Kidnapping, Rape, and Spousal Assault. The crime occurred at 10:04am on October 31, 2009 at the 99 Cent Store parking lot at 2611 Hilltop Dr., Redding. Redding.   For further information, this suspect is listed on the Redding Police Department’s Most Wanted page.

On 11/30/09 suspect Jose Mendoza returned to his estranged wife’s residence in the afternoon and shot her boyfriend twice in the head.  He then fled the scene in a grey or blue compact car.  He may also be driving a red 4x4 Toyota extended cab pick-up.

SR 027 Type of Crime:  Homicide

Up to $10,000.00 Is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual's responsible for the homicide of Christina Stevens on or about November 9, 2007.  Ms. Stevens’ body was discovered in a burned house located at 13345 Old Oregon Trail, Redding by  fire personnel.  The house fire appeared to have been set in an effort to cover up the homicide.
